CAMPAIGN DONATIONS
To run a viable campaign for public office requires organized people, organized ideas and organized money.
Please donate any amount that you can afford. The maximum amount allowed by law for the City elections in Minneapolis is $300. If you cannot afford that much at once, feel free to contribute as much as you can, when you can, if you can.
OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE A MINIMUM OF $25,000 OR A MAXIMUM GOAL OF $50,000.
- We’d love to open a temporary campaign office in late spring / early summer, if feasible.
- If the City of Minneapolis is prepared and decides to implement Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) in 2009 we may need to help educate 4th ward residents about the new voting system.
Note:
There are multiple stages during this exciting campaign, but please keep in mind the financial campaign needs of upsetting the incumbent or her daughter during the DFL precinct caucuses in March, preparing the discontinuation of the “dynasty” in the Primary election in September and winning the General election in the first week of November by a LANDSLIDE – a memorable Super Tuesday!!!
This is a grassroots campaign aiming to dramatically increase voter turn-out and ongoing civic participation in North Minneapolis. We will bring our campaign door to door, including the homes of all renters, more than once in 2009. This will require intense volunteer recruitment resources and massive voter engagement. Beyond knocking on doors and making phone calls at the homes of 4th ward residents, our campaign intends to hold numerous events: strategic campaign meetings, campaign launch, fundraising events, issues, community coalition building and candidate forums, rallies, and the campaign victory celebration.
Your donation will help fund the following campaign needs:
- Campaign website
- Graphic design
- Multi-media
- Campaign literature
