Please join me this Thursday April 16th for a brief Campaign Canvass training: 7:00pm - 8:00pm at the North Regional Library - 1315 Lowry Avenue North (Lowry & Fremont), Minneapolis, MN. 55411 - 2nd floor.
We'll be door knocking this Saturday and I need your help! Show your support by showing up! Don't be afraid of the Northside or canvassing: you'll get the tools and training you need, we won't be alone, it will be fun and you will make a difference.
There are 420 residential blocks and 10 precincts in the 4th Ward. We're looking to recruit 41 people to commit to covering 10 blocks. We've got 20 now. We'll cover a minimum of 2 precincts per month.
The incumbent disserves and is disconnected from the majority of the Ward. She is entrenched, but her dwindling base is limited to 3,000 people. Defeating her is not nearly as difficult as too many shook, closed-minded people think. There are more than 10,000 4th Ward residents open for us to reach, including 5,000 people who voted for the first time ever on November 4th, 2008 to elect President Obama.
